Kabukalli:
Kabukalli is a rather minor tree from South America with no commercial distribution. It has an interlocking grain and a broad range of colours from pale green, like greenheart, through to the most beautiful pale pinks streaks. Each piece is different.
It is moderately hard, and seems to work like oak. Planes, sands and finishes with no particular difficulties.

Sada:
Sada is quite a pretty wood with colours ranging from a pale yellow to a pale violet. It is very soft textured with a very linear grain. If you are familiar with balsa wood, it is very similar to that.
It is very easy to work with, in fact a handsaw it quite sufficient. Sands and takes a finish easily.

Tatabu:
Tatabu is quite a different looking wood from S.America. It has bands of colour ranging from mustard yellow, to orangy brown, all in midtones.
The wood is very dense and often has a white power coat of silica dust, thus WEAR a dust mask, and expect tool wear. It is an oily wood. With a carefully finish tatabu, shows beautiful colours that are quite distinct and yet to be duplicated with any other species.
